Goalball News and Content GoalballGoalball is an indoor court game played around the world by the blind and visually impaired. It is a team game that can be played by sighted individuals wearing Eyeshades. Three- person teams try to score goals using a ball similar to a basketball with a bell inside. Players attempt to roll or throw the ball across a goal line. The opposing team tries to block it using their arms, legs and bodies. Goalball was developed in the late 1940's and is played internationally with world championships every two years. Goalball is also played at the Paralympic Games.
