2001 Senior National Road Biking Championships
Min van Velzen, who has been a long time pilot for B.C. Tandem racing
teams, has had to forgo those duties because of his new status on the
National Team for Canada. While still acting as a coach for the tandem
teams van Velzen now focuses his competitive energies on more individual
pursuits. These efforts have paid off recently in Dieppe New Brunswick
at the Senior National Road Biking Championships. In competing for Trek-VW,
van Velzen placed third over all in a time of 4:03.5.
